bibliotheca, the leading supplier of RFID-based technologies to public and academic libraries around the world, has announced today that it has appointed Veronica Steinicke as General Manager to oversee its activities across Australia and New Zealand.
Bringing with her a wealth of sales and management experience obtained throughout a successful career, Veronica joins bibliotheca after spending the last seven years working for Procurement Australia Ltd where she undertook the roles of Business Development Manager and National Sales and Marketing Manager respectively. During her time at Procurement Australia Ltd Veronica was responsible for successfully increasing sales revenue and profit for the company and establishing relationships with the Local Government, Library and Higher Education sectors.
bibliotheca’s Australian division has experienced significant and rapid growth in recent times working on large projects with libraries such as Brisbane, Eastern Regional Libraries (ERL) and securing wins with City of Melville and The Hills Shire Council. After establishing an initial footprint in the region, bibliotheca is now prepared to extend its powerful global service range to Australian and New Zealand libraries. Under the leadership of Veronica, the company will expand its Australian presence and aims at winning the trust of the library community as a key local player backed by a strong global group.
Upon her appointment, Veronica comments: "With libraries playing such an important role in the community, be it Public Libraries, Education or State, the opportunity to work with such a globally recognised and respected company as bibliotheca is extremely exciting. I am looking forward to taking our solutions further into the Australian and New Zealand markets and moving bibliotheca to a position of prominence ahead of our competitors. I am also very keen to work with the local and global team, establishing relationships and exploring ways in which we can achieve our goals for the region.”
Dr. Simon Plankenhorn, bibliotheca Group Managing Director, added: “We are very much looking forward to having Veronica on board at bibliotheca. With her skills, knowledge and vast experience we are positive she is the right person to strengthen our sales activities and brand presence in the Australian market, therefore further expanding the growth of our organisation. We wish her all the best in her new role with the company.”
