Simon Plankenhorn

What Simon likes most about his role with bibliotheca is helping our customers to build libraries of the future. As an avid literacy advocate, he is excited about leading a dedicated and energized team that consistently goes the extra mile in order to make bibliotheca’s library happy. Simon comes from a background in strategy consulting, having previously worked with Roland Berger. When Simon isn’t working, he likes to spend his time indulging in sports and cooking up a storm on his Swiss BBQ. Although he is a frequent traveler (not only for business), he enjoys the beauty of the Swiss Alps when he is back home.

Mike is a proven entrepreneur and business builder with over 25 years of Executive Leadership, Marketing, Business Development and Direct & Channel Sales experience in the software industry. Throughout his career Mike has been an over-achiever, a self-starter and dynamic leader with a proven track record of success in building high performing customer centered teams.

 

 


Veronica Steinicke

Veronica Steinicke

President APAC

Veronica's passion is to grow and develop teams and companies. Under her leadership, bibliotheca has significantly expanded its presence in both Australia and New Zealand through innovation and responding to customers’ unique requirements. In her spare time, she likes to run, ride her mountain bike, and travel to remote areas of the world on holidays. She is passionate about saving endangered animals, and is a founding member of Borneo Orang-utan Survival Foundation Australia. She also supports charities that educate children in Africa and those charities that raise awareness of animal welfare across the world.

 

 


Jim Hopwood

Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Jim was one of the founders of the Group's UK business in May 1999. He has overseen the Company's transition from a small private enterprise, into corporate ownership, and on to today's position as the world's leading supplier of RFID technology to libraries. As CTO, Jim’s role is to ensure that the Group fulfils its objectives of providing the tools and services to help libraries anticipate, identify and serve the needs of their users. Outside of the office, Jim enjoys spending quality time with his family, whilst also pursuing his aviation interests.

 

 


Karen Roscher

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

With a background in the semiconductor industry, Karen was CFO for several small and medium-sized companies headquartered in the US and Germany. Dedicated to applying her financial skill set to drive customer and business success, Karen is excited to join the Executive Committee at bibliotheca to help grow and transform the library industry. Outside of the office, Karen enjoys traveling, reading and spending time on a beach or near water.

 

 


Matthew Bellamy

Chief Commercial Officer (CCO)

Matthew joins bibliotheca from 3M, having spent 14 years with the organization in sales, marketing and global product management functions. Prior to 3M joining the bibliotheca Group, he was responsible for the North American library systems, where he helped establish them as the brand of choice in the market. A passionate reader (usually to his 2 children), Matthew loves to cook, travel and is an active sportsman – playing golf, tennis and attempting to keep up with his children! You’ll find him wearing a Boston Redsox (MLB), Cleveland Browns (NFL) or Cleveland Cavaliers (NBA) shirt at various point in the year.

As acting HR Director, Jos brings with him a wealth of strong senior HR experiences. For years, Jos belonged to the top leadership team of the largest business unit of the Henkel group. In his role, he globally anticipated business needs in B2B and B2C markets, provided HR advice and gave strategic direction to an $8 billion business with about 24,000 employees. Jos has in-depth business experience in marketing & sales, efficiency projects, quality management and merger & acquisition projects. In his free time, Jos likes to jog and mountain bike. Jos is married, has 4 children and 5 lovely grandchildren.

 

 


Johannes Langwieder

Johannes brings engineering and strategic operational vision to bibliotheca. Having worked for Roland Berger Munich, Johannes was part of innovative technology and automotive projects around the world. Having been with bibliotheca since 2010, Johannes was once the Chief Operating Officer for the North American business. He led the successful integration of 3M Library Systems in 2015, is currently responsible for Global Operations and Manufacturing and is a major influencer in product quality and reliability for our customers. He is a passionate soccer fan from Bayern Munich who enjoys the peaceful silence of the Alps and downhill skiing in his free time.
