bibliotheca, the leading supplier of RFID-based technologies to public and academic libraries around the world, is pleased to announce the appointment of Alexandre Walker as General Manager for France, Belgium and the Netherlands. In his new capacity Alexandre will oversee the sale¬s and customer support operations in all three regions.
Alexandre holds an engineering degree from the ESTP (Paris) and started his career managing business software development teams, before shifting to sales and marketing activities. He has highly contributed to the successful launch and growth of several international software firms on the French market such as J.D. Edwards (ERP), Descartes Systems (Supply Chain), Wonderware (Industrial Automation and MES solutions) and, more recently, in the CEM (Customer Experience Management) space.
Commenting on joining bibliotheca, Alexandre stated: “I am deeply convinced of the tremendous potential for bibliotheca in these European markets. Their leadership, their technological expertise and their team involvement towards customer success are offering a unique combination that will gather a growing interest on this very demanding and open market; I am delighted to now be part of this adventure".
The need and requirement for RFID technology in the French, Belgium and Dutch markets has seen a massive increase over the last few years - with bibliotheca securing some of the largest library contracts in each region. With predicted continuous growth in these markets, the appointment of Alexandre is just one step towards driving sales and increasing market growth for the company.
