bibliotheca and EBSCO are pleased to announce that they have entered into a long-term partnership, whereby the vast array of digital information, currently available to libraries through EBSCO’s NoveList products, will become an intrinsic part of the bibliotheca patron-facing products.
In the brand new release of bibliotheca’s award-winning liber8:interactive™ kiosk software, available from April 2015, patrons will for the first time receive a revolutionary experience tailored specifically to them. Included within this experience will be reading recommendations provided by the NoveList platform from EBSCO.
Duncan Smith, Vice-President of NoveList for EBSCO commented, “NoveList is an important part of reader services in many of North America’s public libraries, and we are always interested in finding new ways that they and their patrons can benefit from the data we provide. This new partnership with bibliotheca is extremely exciting for us in expanding the way our content is utilized, we are looking forward to working with the bibliotheca team to help mold and enhance the products of both companies.
As part of the long-term partnership between the two companies, a number of further developments are also under consideration, which will further enhance the value that libraries receive from their Novelist Select license.
Al Coalla, President bibliotheca North America added “We are excited about announcing our first project with NoveList. liber8:interactive™ is a major step forward in patron self-service, not only for bibliotheca but for the industry as a whole. Integration of reader recommendations is extremely exciting for our customers.”
bibliotheca are pleased to confirm that new and existing customers will have the ability to move to the new release of liber8:interactive™ from April this year, subject to having an active liber8:portal subscription (previously called smartadmin) and Novelist Select license.
