Library technology leader bibliotheca will be highlighting how the company has worked with US-based library customers to implement custom solutions that meet their individual needs and unique library environments at this year’s American Library Association (ALA) summer conference in Las Vegas.
The annual event hosted by the American Library Association is one of the largest professional conferences to take place in the library world and provides library staff, authors, publishers and vendors with the opportunity to network and share experiences, information and advice. Kicking off in Las Vegas on June 26th, this year almost 10,000 members of the library community will flock to the great city of Las Vegas for 5-days of library fun which will include presentations, workshops, awards celebrations and over 800 exhibiting organizations and guest speakers.
bibliotheca has been exhibiting at ALA conferences for over 15 years – both at its annual mid-winter events and annual summer conferences – and this year, in line with the conference’s theme of ‘transforming our libraries, ourselves’ the company wants to emphasize its ability to work closely with customers and tailor its solutions to fit individual customers’ needs and offer the perfect solution - rather than delivering a ‘one size fits all’ approach.
To highlight how bibliotheca breaks the mold when it comes to library technology and self-service solutions, the company has taken the approach of ‘because every library is unique’ at its ALA booth (#663) this year. The booth will highlight a selection of premiere libraries and how their solutions have helped them provide better public service to their communities. Attendees to the booth will be able to learn how customers; Jon Walker of Pueblo City County Library, Steven Potter of Mid-Continent Public Library, Gina Millsap of Topeka and Shawnee Public Library and Scott Reinhart of Carroll County Public Library have all transformed their library service using bibliotheca’s self-service products and solutions in their own unique way.
Al Coalla, bibliotheca’s President of North America states: “We have always understood that each and every library and its community is different and cannot be treated in the same way. We pride ourselves on recognizing this and adapting our products, services and solutions accordingly so that customers offer the most innovative solutions to their patrons in a way that works best for them. ALA conferences have always been the best platform to highlight our innovation and what we can offer to our customers, but this year we are really excited to share direct customer experiences that take self-service to the next level and show how building relationships and being open to new ideas and possibilities can create amazing results for library patrons.”
bibliotheca is dedicated to the development of solutions that help libraries connect with users in unique ways and provide engaging experiences, allowing them to continually evolve their library services for the changing needs of their communities. Their products are designed to provide a welcoming, intuitive and seamless environment for those that use the library – wherever they choose to use it - be that at home, on the move or within the library itself.
With over 30,000 libraries as part of their family, they have installed and continue to support more than 10,000 self-service units, 6,000 security systems and over 650 Automated Materials Handling (sorter) systems. In addition, the cloudLibrary™ digital platform powers eBook and eAudiobook lending at a further 3,000 libraries.
