Bibliotheca announces the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer

Oakdale, Minnesota – December 4, 2019

Bibliotheca Chairman of the Shareholders Committee, Thomas Geitner announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Ray Hood as CEO of Bibliotheca Group, effective November 5th, 2019.

Ray Hood comes to Bibliotheca with a successful track record of building and growing technology companies through customer-centric activities that scale on a global level. As founder and CEO of an international, publicly traded, logistics software firm, Hood was responsible for growing the company exponentially during his tenure, extending the company’s sales and service operations in 14 countries and guiding it through a successful public offering.

Throughout his career, he has transformed software businesses and worked in both advisor and CEO roles to help companies grow their footprint by making decisions based on customer needs and end user experiences. “Libraries are the unsung heroes in bringing access to information and culture to millions of people. I’m thrilled to join Bibliotheca and bring my experience to an industry that means so much to me and plays such an important role in the well-being of communities across the globe. I’m eager to dive in alongside a dedicated and talented team of people who are driven by customer partnerships, creative solutions, and building the technology for the future of library service,” said Hood, Bibliotheca CEO.

“It has been rewarding to act as the interim CEO of Bibliotheca over the past year and I’m excited about the path ahead as libraries form deeper digital relationships with their users. Our priorities center around innovative solutions, high-quality products and excellent service. Ray brings a wealth of experience to build on our recent momentum and to lead both bibliotheca and our customers to the next level,” said Thomas Geitner.

Ray Hood will be based in Bibliotheca’s Minnesota (US) office, while Thomas Geitner will continue to support Bibliotheca in his role of the Chairman of the Shareholders Committee.
