biblioNews | February 2019
2019 is off to a great start here at bibliotheca! We had a splendid time at both ALA Midwinter and the OLA Super Conference, catching up with customers and updating everyone on our new library technology solutions. As we introduce new cloudLibrary features to enhance the use of smartphones within libraries, we’re featuring a couple of stories from customers who are already experiencing success with cloudLibrary and the wonderful power of cloudLink (sharing digital titles among libraries to boost digital collections).
See you later Seattle! | Wrap-up from ALA Midwinter
We were delighted to attend this year’s ALA Midwinter conference in Seattle where we shared the new cloudLibrary experience with over 200 attendees. The new cloudLibrary modules offer mobile checkout, virtual library cards, due date reminders, and more! Congratulations to Yalysis, the winner of our $250 gift card. If you missed us at ALA Midwinter, discover how you can change the library experience for everyday smartphone users within your library.
Our open+ panel session was attended by more than 30 interested libraries. Panelists shared insights about their experience of using open+ to provide extended library hours and open library access. Looking for more information? Dig into our #openlibraries webpage here.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the EveryLibrary fundraising event! Nancy Pearl joined us for a special episode recording of the NPR Kitchen Sisters Podcast, which will be available to download in the coming weeks. View photos from this fun event here.
We had a terrific time in Toronto | OLA Super Conference
Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth at OLA. We had a great time catching up, demonstrating bibliotheca’s library solutions and talking about how technology can help transform the overall library experience! Over 60 library leadership and staff from across Canada attended the Hamilton Public Library Session. California cloudLink group: how California libraries are working together to expand access for all patrons
When 16 California libraries were introduced to bibliotheca’s cloudLibrary, they found not only a solution for their individual challenges but also the opportunity to partner together through cloudLink to vastly expand the collection of digital materials available to their patrons, resulting in an 87% increase in circulation. Contact our cloudLibrary team to learn how simple it is to get started… just find a friendly library who’s willing to share within your state or province.
Fayetteville Public Library: providing an engaging, seamless self-service experience with quickConnect software and selfChecks
Fayetteville Public Library in Arkansas is a longtime bibliotheca customer. When they decided to add additional selfCheck kiosks they were introduced to the new quickConnect software offering a beautiful, intuitive and seamless user experience and unmatched backend customization. Read more about how this library software upgrade, included on all selfCheck 500 and 1000 models, is helping FPL blow the doors off Library Land. Contact our team if you have older equipment in need of an update and learn how our solutions will engage, inspire and delight your library users.
