New cloudLibrary features: more circulation, less effort

The last two years have been challenging to put it mildly. Nearly overnight, libraries had to pivot to provide services and materials to their communities in innovative ways. Doors closed, and digital demand surged. Even now, as many libraries reopen, they must find a way to navigate a new normal. They are called to provide more convenience, more flexibility, more digital offerings, and of course, more circulation. About the only thing librarians don’t have is more time.

To relieve some of the pressure, cloudLibrary has recently released three new features designed to help libraries drive digital circulation without effort.

Trending shelves

Introduce patrons to exciting, available titles automatically. Broad digital collections are more important than ever, but digging through thousands of titles to find something interesting without a wait can frustrate readers. cloudLibrary’s new Trending Shelf mines data to show your patrons the most popular titles available for checkout now. Fully automated and prominently featured on the cloudLibrary homepage, the Trending Shelf makes it easy for you to help users to find their next great read without lifting a finger.

cloudLibrary launchpad

Promote all of your new digital services from within the cloudLibrary app. Comics, magazines and newspapers, streaming entertainment – today, there’s so much more to digital than eBooks and eAudio. cloudLibrary launchpad makes it effortless to introduce your readers to all the other Bibliotheca digital services you offer with buttons on the cloudLibrary homepage that drive users to your ComicsPlus, NewsStand, and Biblio+ apps. With launchpad, launching a new service is easier than ever.

Curation-free collection growth

Pay-per-use is a great way to increase circulation and meet the growing digital demand without spending hours hand-picking titles. cloudLibrary has recently added more than 20K pay-per-use titles from Harlequin, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, and Zondervan to its already robust collection. Simply set your budget and let your readers do the rest.

We are constantly amazed by the creativity and effort our libraries put into serving their communities every day. That’s why the cloudLibrary team is hard at work developing tools and features to help you meet the demand for more with less effort. Stay tuned for future updates designed to help your library run more efficiently while delighting your readers.
