Attendee Responses + Information
By now, we’re all aware of the IMLS funding provided by the American Rescue Plan Act. But ILMS is just a small piece of the package.
Learn how to access the ARPA funds from John Chrastka of EveryLibrary. In this Keynote he explains where else to look for library funding in the massive ARPA legislation. He covers the technical aspects of how to search for funds – even those not specifically earmarked for libraries. He also delves into the strategic tools you’ll need, including how to find out who you may need to partner with based on your state and local governance, and how to create a winning project proposal to present to potential partners once they’re found.
John Chrastka is a founder and executive director of EveryLibrary, the first Super PAC for libraries, and the EveryLibrary Institute, a public policy and tax policy think tank for libraries. Since 2012, EveryLibrary has provided pro-bono support to 117 library communities with ballot measures and tax referendum, helping win over $1.8 billion in stable tax funding.
