Today, Bibliotheca announced the release of cloudLibrary NewsStand, a new digital service that brings the world’s largest catalogue of magazine and newspaper titles to libraries for unlimited simultaneous use. The collection can be viewed at cloudLibrary.magzter.com, and the app downloaded from the App Store and Google Play.

“Budgets are tight  and it’s more important than ever for libraries to be able to predict costs and maximize circulation,” says Tom Mercer, Senior Vice President of Digital Products, Bibliotheca. “We are excited to be the first company to offer libraries this affordable collection of more than 7,000 magazine and newspaper titles in over 60 languages. More importantly, libraries can leverage the diversity of the collection via an inclusive all-you-can-read model.”

NewsStand allows libraries to extend their reach and support literacy for all ages by providing an intuitive user interface, EZ read mode for easier reading on smartphones, access to individual articles and back issues of all publications, and titles for all interests. In partnership with BibliMags, currently in use in hundreds of Canadian libraries and powered by Magzter, which boasts 70 million users worldwide, NewsStand provides a stable platform for the world’s largest newspaper catalogue, all under a hassle-free pricing model that means no waiting for library patrons and no surprises for library budgets.

Currently available as a standalone app, NewsStand will be integrated into future versions of the cloudLibrary app, making magazines and newspapers available alongside eBooks, eAudio, digital comics, and other digital media.
