We are delighted to share the success of our recent London & South Roadshow, hosted at the iconic Mayfair Library. The event brought together library professionals from across the region for a day of learning, networking, and hands-on exploration of Bibliotheca solutions. From the moment attendees arrived, the atmosphere was buzzing with energy, curiosity, and collaboration.
The Roadshow was designed to offer interactive sessions, live product demonstrations, and expert-led discussions, providing practical insights and inspiration for library teams of all sizes.
Engaging Sessions and Thoughtful Discussions
Attendees had the opportunity to connect with peers, share experiences, and discuss best practices in modern library management. Sessions sparked insightful conversations around open+ implementation, digital transformation, and evolving community needs, helping library professionals explore new strategies to enhance services and maximise the potential of extended library hours.
A particular highlight was the open+ customer experience session, where attendees heard first-hand testimonies about how extended hours have created new opportunities for libraries to engage communities, improve accessibility, and inspire usage. Participants were able to discuss challenges openly and explore practical solutions with both peers and our experts.
Helpdesk Support and Hands-On Demonstrations
The Roadshow also featured dedicated helpdesk support sessions, giving attendees the chance to ask detailed questions, troubleshoot issues, and gain tailored guidance on using Bibliotheca technology.
Practical demonstrations formed a key part of the day. Attendees experienced open+, selfCheck kiosks, cloudCheck Mobile, and other solutions firsthand, gaining insight into how these technologies streamline operations and improve user experiences. Interactive sessions allowed participants to visualise the impact of Bibliotheca solutions in their own libraries.

Idea Lab: Collaboration and Networking
Our Idea Lab session encouraged open discussion and collaborative problem-solving. Library professionals explored two main topics:
- Opportunities unlocked by open+ extended hours – sharing ideas for maximising self-service and community engagement.
- Barriers to adoption and potential solutions – discussing real-world challenges and creative approaches to overcome them.
This collaborative environment reinforced the value of peer-to-peer learning, allowing attendees to exchange experiences, spark ideas, and build lasting connections. Networking remained a highlight throughout the day, with professionals from across London and the South engaging in lively discussions and sharing insights.
“The most valuable part of the event was the open discussion about open+. Timing, location, everything was perfect.”
– Antoinette Silvestri, Head of Library, Institut Francais Du Royaume – Unite

Celebrating Library Innovation
The London & South Roadshow concluded with a quiz and a celebratory wrap-up, highlighting the commitment of library professionals to innovation, excellence, and continuous learning. From interactive demos to collaborative discussions, the event showcased how technology and shared learning can shape the future of libraries.
Looking Ahead
The Roadshow was more than an event—it was a reminder of the value of community, collaboration, and innovation in libraries. Attendees left with practical insights, fresh ideas for future projects, and inspiration to enhance their library services.
We extend our thanks to everyone who participated, contributed, and helped make the day a success. Your engagement, curiosity, and willingness to share knowledge truly brought the Roadshow to life. We look forward to welcoming you to our next Roadshow and continuing the conversation about the future of library services.
“It was great to just hear about everything tech-wise and from colleagues. Loved the day, small venue meant it was friendly and enabled us to chat with most people.”
