About bibliotheca

Dedicated exclusively to libraries

bibliotheca is dedicated to the development of library management solutions that help sustain and grow libraries around the world. Our products are designed to provide a welcoming, intuitive and seamless experience for those that use the library, wherever they happen to be – at home, on the move or within the walls of the library itself.

We’ve worked with libraries for almost 50 years and are proud of the many innovations we’ve brought to the industry in partnership with cutting-edge, technology-minded customers around the world. We have offices in all major continents and support libraries in more than 70 countries through our dedicated distributors. We partner with more than 30,000 unique libraries, helping them evolve their services and connect with their communities.

By employing a host of degreed librarians and immersing ourselves in library trend conversations, we understand the unique management challenges that today’s libraries face. Our innovative solutions help libraries transform perceptions, increase access to collections and spaces, and provide engaging interactions, all with the aim of enhancing the user experience.

From our comprehensive range of library-based digital, RFID, Electromagnetic (EM) Tattle-Tape and hybrid solutions, to our cutting-edge digital eBook and eAudiobook lending service, bibliotheca’s goal is to enhance the overall importance of libraries, empowering them to reinvent their services and encourage lifelong learning today and well into the future.

Quality Standards

The bibliotheca senior management team is fully committed to quality and to continual improvement by:

  • Communicating the importance of meeting customer and any regulatory requirements
  • Publishing the quality policy
  • Ensuring that quality objectives are established
  • Performing management reviews
  • Providing appropriate resources to deliver quality outcomes

bibliotheca aims to deliver world class library solutions and service to its customers, which will improve their business’ performance, encourage user discovery, increase library usage and help libraries achieve their strategic goals. bibliotheca’s ability to deliver the desired quality in its products and services is dependent upon its people and processes.
To provide a strong operational framework in support of these aims, the business has developed and maintained an effective quality management system and has ISO9001 certification.

iso9001 accreditation

The principles of risk management have been used to design, implement and operate the BMS. bibliotheca processes are documented where it is necessary to provide published internal guidance to support consistency and excellence. The extent of the documented policies/procedures has been led by a consideration of risk, including the complexity of processes, the competence of staff, the tools supporting the processes and the impact on customer satisfaction and contractual compliance.

An important driving principle of our BMS is that it must reduce operational risk without hindering our ability to provide value to our customers and to drive commercial success. The BMS is pragmatic, practical and has been designed to aid business success by supporting winning contracts, delivering first class services and achieving sustainable improvements to the benefit of customers. Compliance to ISO9001 is achieved as a result of our BMS succeeding in the consistent excellent delivery of services meeting customer requirements and achieving target outcomes.
