Oakdale, MN – September 1, 2021 – Today, Bibliotheca announced that Hearst Media, one of the world’s largest publishers of magazine media across all platforms, has joined its ever-growing NewsStand catalogue. cloudLibrary NewsStand, Bibliotheca’s digital magazine and newspaper subscription service, now provides libraries with unlimited simultaneous access to more than 7,000 titles in over 60 languages. The collection can be viewed at cloudLibrary.magzter.com.
“We are constantly striving to ensure that NewsStand offers the most comprehensive, diverse collection of titles,” says Tom Mercer, Senior Vice President of Digital Products, Bibliotheca.
“We are thrilled every time we add a publisher to our catalogue, and we know that the addition of such popular Hearst titles as Esquire, Cosmopolitan, and Good Housekeeping will be a boon to library readers.”
Instead of bundling digital periodicals into a reader designed for eBooks, the independent NewsStand app offers an ideal reading experience for newspapers and magazines with an EZ read mode for easier reading on smartphones, access to individual articles, and back issues of all publications. The NewsStand app is available for download from the App Store and Google Play.
Like ComicsPlus, the digital comic and graphic novel subscription offered by Bibliotheca, NewsStand offers all titles for unlimited, simultaneous use, eliminating hold times and increasing circulation.
“Our partnership with Biblimags and Magzter provides our customers with an ever-growing magazine and newspaper collection and a clean modern digital reading experience,” says Mercer. “All titles, including the new Hearst additions, are available for unlimited use by library patrons.”
