cloudLibrary’s New Web Experience is Built for the Future

Digital lending has become a large part of today’s library services, digital content itself is rapidly evolving. New mediums, such as ePub3s and read-along children’s books, demand a platform that can keep up.

Over the past 12 months alone, cloudLibrary has released dozens of updates and enhancements that improve the digital library experience, help libraries build diverse and engaging collections, and ensure that patrons are able to take advantage of new, ever-changing technology.

Here’s a small sample:

Additionally, in just the last five months, cloudLibrary has added 40,000 new Pay-Per-Use titles to its catalogue to make it easier for libraries to broaden their offerings without exceeding their budgets.

Now, cloudLibrary has completely redesigned the user interface and user experience of its web experience.

The web experience is a critical discovery layer where many new patrons find digital content for the first time.  The web experience is also ideal for readers looking to see a more comprehensive view of library digital offerings at one time.

The new cloudLibrary web experience boasts a clean, modern look and feel with improved performance for faster loading and navigation. We have also made improvements to our web reader and eAudiobook player.  In addition, better organization of categories and subcategories make it easier than ever to browse eBooks and Audiobooks and find the next right read.

While providing a modern user experience today, this new update sets the stage for tomorrow — ensuring that cloudLibrary will be able to support new, emerging technologies and provide ongoing compatibility with accessibility programs such as JAWS long into the future.
