Bibliotheca Launches On-Demand Learning Platform for Library Staff
May 26, 2026

Lake Elmo, Minn. — Bibliotheca has launched Bibliotheca Academy, an on-demand training platform that gives library staff access to training across Bibliotheca products. Bibliotheca Academy is now available via subscription to customers in the United States and Canada.

Delivered through a dedicated learning management system, Bibliotheca Academy offers guided learning paths, concise modules, and recorded sessions that can be accessed anytime. Library staff can log in and complete courses as often as needed.

“Training is one of the most consistent challenges we hear from library customers. Staff turnover, scheduling conflicts, and limited access to content after the initial session all get in the way of libraries using our products at their full potential. Bibliotheca Academy addresses all of that in one platform,” said Lori Livesay, Customer Education Specialist at Bibliotheca.

At launch, Bibliotheca Academy features fully modular courses for quickConnect, System Manager for selfChecks, RFID gates, and libraryConnect LINK. Each course is organized into short, focused lessons that can be completed in any order and revisited at any time. Additional offerings are available as recorded sessions, with modular versions currently in development. Subscribers also have access to regular office hours with the Bibliotheca training team for follow-up questions.

“For years, we’ve delivered training one session at a time. Bibliotheca Academy changes that. Every staff member at every subscribing library can now learn on their own schedule and revisit the material whenever needed. A new hire can get up to speed on day one without waiting for a scheduled session,” said Gwyneth Jelinek, Customer Education Specialist at Bibliotheca.

Libraries can learn more and submit an inquiry at https://info.bibliotheca.com/bibliothecaacademy or by contacting their Bibliotheca sales representative.
