Bibliotheca’s Library Experience Tour

Oakdale, Minnesota – January 18, 2019

At this year’s ALA Midwinter Meeting in Seattle, bibliotheca is offering a full Library Experience Tour, which is a fun and interactive way to learn how libraries are using apps to integrate with physical library equipment, creating a more engaging user experience for the library customer. Stop by the booth for a tour for a chance to win a $250 VISA gift card.

The cornerstone of the tour is the new cloudLibrary modules app. Packed with helpful new features, cloudLibrary is a stunning app for avid readers that will help borrowers integrate all of their library loans and organize multiple virtual library cards in one place. The new cloudLibrary modules provide helpful interactive receipts, due date reminders, fun library packing lists, the ability to sort/filter and favorite items, and introduce a mobile checkout experience for busy users on-the-go!

“The new cloudLibrary app will help libraries increase engagement with avid readers within their community and provide an important way to reach millennials and new generations of smartphone users. We are excited to offer this tour at ALA Midwinter to share the experience of the app combined with our full suite of library technology solutions,” says Thomas Mercer, Senior Vice President of Digital Products at bibliotheca.

bibliotheca will also be showcasing new towers for the remoteLocker system in booth 1503. Three new tower options will be introduced, offering 50% more capacity as well as a serendipitous browsing experience for remote library users. With more flexible options for your unique community, it’s even more convenient to set up a small remote library branch for library access anywhere within the community.

Avengers to the rescue: cloudLibrary collection is expanding to include Marvel Comic Collections.

Just in time for a new year, cloudLibrary content will now include Marvel Comic Collections. This is a great time to put those collection development funds to heroic use and stock up on customers’ favorite comics. To learn more, stop by booth 1503.

open+ panel session: January 26th

bibliotheca and a team of innovative library panelists will be hosting a session for libraries interested in attracting new users, providing consistent or expanded open hours, providing more flexibility for library staff and increasing the use of library space, collection, and self-service resources.

The open+ model has been successfully implemented in over 750 libraries of all types and sizes throughout Europe since 2004 and is now changing the way libraries in the US and Canada think about service delivery.

EveryLibrary Fundraiser

bibliotheca is proud to partner with EveryLibrary for their ALA Midwinter fundraiser! This lively event will offer librarians and library supporters an opportunity to come together and spend the night in style with local music, food, and beer while celebrating the power of libraries to make a difference in the lives of so many Americans. Tickets start at $35, and all proceeds go to support the mission of EveryLibrary in their work to support local libraries everywhere. Everyone is welcome!

The event will be held at Flatstick Pub South Lake Union. With the purchase of a ticket, attendees will enjoy an open bar and access to everything that Flatstick Pub has to offer. As part of EveryLibrary’s partnership with the NPR podcast, The Keepers (a production of the Kitchen Sisters), which tells stories of activist archivists, rogue librarians, curators, and historians, there will be a live taping of a podcast at the event.
