Lake Elmo, Minn. — Bibliotheca, a global leader in library technology solutions, today announced the appointment of Matthew Bellamy as Chief Executive Officer, marking a new chapter in the company’s continued mission to empower libraries worldwide. Bellamy succeeds Joe Grillo, who will remain actively involved with the company as Chairman of the Board. 

The transition, set to take place over the month of July, reflects a thoughtful and collaborative leadership shift designed to ensure continuity and sustained momentum. Bellamy and Grillo will work closely together during this period to guarantee a seamless handover. 

Bellamy brings nearly 25 years of experience in the library technology industry, including leadership roles that have shaped its evolution over the decades. His career reflects a deep understanding of library operations and innovation. After a three-year hiatus from the industry, he returned in 2023 as President of the Americas, bringing renewed focus and strategic direction to the region.
