Oakdale, MN – Bibliotheca showcases innovative library solutions at this year’s American Library Association (ALA) Annual Conference in San Diego, June 27 – July 2, 2024.
Visitors to Booth #1143 will be among the first to see the all-new Tote Management solution, the recently launched selfCheck 3000, and QR code patron payment technology.
Addressing the need for efficient item sorting and transferring between branches, the Bibliotheca Tote Management solution revolutionizes how libraries handle large volumes of items and simplifies centralized sorting.
“The new Tote Management solution is a game-changer for multi-branch library systems ” says Matthew Bellamy, President of Americas. “Instead of requiring that each individual item be scanned and relocated in the ILS, this solution automatically relocates every item within a tote when it reaches the target branch – drastically increasing efficiency and getting materials back on the shelves faster.”
A recent addition to Bibliotheca’s self-service portfolio, the selfCheck 3000 builds on the market-leading capabilities of previous generations, adding functions and features to improve usability, serviceability, and patron experience. It offers modular components that allow libraries to adjust as needs change, a larger table to accommodate patron materials, and a modern user experience with colorful, updated themes, icons, and guidance animations. The newly updated quickConnect software provides a clean, modern user experience with updated themes, icons, and guidance animations.
Also new: Bibliotheca is integrating its quickConnect software with Stripe in order to offer library patrons the speed and ease of modern payment options. Stripe, an industry-leading payment-processing company, provides cost-effective Point of Sale (POS) devices along with software-only solutions, allowing patrons to scan a QR code and pay with a credit card, ApplePay, GooglePay, PayPal, AmazonPay, or CashApp. With Bibliotheca and Stripe, library patrons get simple, fast payment options, and libraries get modern, low-maintenance solutions that are friendly to budgets and staff.
ALA attendees are invited to drop by Booth #1143 for a first-hand look at these latest innovations, as well as Bibliotheca’s cloudCheck tablet, a small, streamlined self-checkout solution that makes it easy for libraries to increase the number of service points throughout the library; cloudCheck mobile, Bibliotheca’s new solution that empowers patron choice and library efficiency by providing a consistent user self-service experience across kiosks, cloudCheck tablets, and the mobile checkout app; and smartShelf borrow, an intelligent shelving return solution with built-in self-checkout. Bibliotheca will also showcase its remoteLocker, selfCheck 500, and flexAMH.
