Niagara-on-the-Lake Public Library: Expanding Access with remoteLocker
Challenge
With only one branch to serve a sprawling area, Niagara on the Lake Public Library needed to offer convenient library access to those in more remote areas.
Solution
The library installed a remoteLocker in a fire station in an outlying village.
Result
Patrons appreciate the convenience of the remoteLocker so much, the library is planning to install remoteLockers in three or four additional villages.
remoteLocker provides this rural community a convenient way for families and avid readers to pick-up and drop-off books at a local fire station. With a circulation of 101,958 items, and a demographic that spans across 7 villages, Niagara on the Lake Public Library uses remoteLocker to extend library usage to users with busy schedules and other commitments.
