PLA 2026 Conference
Lake Elmo, Minn. — March 10, 2026 — Bibliotheca will participate in the Public Library Association (PLA) Conference, taking place April 1–3, 2026, at the Minneapolis Convention Center. The company will welcome library professionals at booth #603, where attendees can experience solutions designed to support modern library services.
“PLA brings together some of the most passionate advocates for public libraries and their communities,” said Matthew Bellamy, CEO of Bibliotheca. “With our headquarters here in Minnesota, it’s especially meaningful for us to welcome the library community to our backyard. We’re excited to host everyone here and to be part of the conversations happening at PLA this year.”
During the conference, Bibliotheca will present a range of solutions that support self-service, materials handling, and expanded library access. Among them is remoteLocker+, the company’s newest holds pickup locker designed for secure self-service access beyond library walls.
The booth will also feature Romi, Bibliotheca’s mobile library robot, currently being tested at Gateway Library, part of Mesa Public Library in Arizona. Romi navigates autonomously, greets visitors in multiple languages, and assists patrons with wayfinding and discovery.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to see the selfCheck line, which enables patrons to borrow materials independently, along with smartShelf borrow, flexAMH, and cloudCheck tablet. The booth will also highlight quickConnect, the software platform that connects many of Bibliotheca’s self-service technologies. In addition, attendees can explore the Digital Book Kiosk, a solution currently deployed in Asia that expands access to digital content.
This year, Bibliotheca’s booth will also highlight the #StandWithLibraries theme, celebrating the essential role libraries play in their communities. Visitors will be invited to engage with interactive elements such as a community wall where they can share what libraries mean to them, along with postcards and giveaways that celebrate the impact of libraries worldwide.
Ahead of the conference, Bibliotheca will host Customer Connect 2026, a two-day event at the company’s headquarters in Lake Elmo, Minnesota. The gathering will bring together library leaders and staff for training sessions, product demonstrations, and discussions focused on self-service, automation, access, and RFID technologies.
