Bibliotheca, a leading provider of library technology solutions, has announced a leadership transition. Ray Hood, the current CEO, will be retiring from his position on July 1, 2023. Hood has been instrumental in guiding the company through a challenging period that included the COVID-19 pandemic and the War in Ukraine, and the company thanks him for his contributions.
Joe Grillo has joined the company as its new CEO, effective, May 9, 2023. He will work with Hood in the coming weeks to transition the business, and he will fully take over on July 1, 2023. Grillo brings extensive experience and expertise to Bibliotheca, having held executive leadership roles at successful technology companies in the United States and Europe. He has a proven track record of driving growth and innovation and is committed to continuing Bibliotheca’s tradition of delivering exceptional products and services to customers.

Ray Hood stated, “After serving as the CEO of Bibliotheca since late 2019, I have decided to retire from this role. As I look back on my time here, I am filled with a deep sense of gratitude for the opportunity to have worked alongside so many talented and dedicated individuals who provide such invaluable products to an important and under-appreciated sector – Public and Academic Libraries.”
Joe Grillo also expressed his enthusiasm about joining the Bibliotheca team and working closely with Hood during the transition. He said, “I am excited to be joining Bibliotheca and look forward to working closely with Ray and the talented team of professionals as we transition the business over to me. I am confident that together we will continue delivering innovative solutions to our customers.
